Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions efficiently, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or technology sales are a plus, enabling us to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Conduct product demos and provide information on merchandise to enhance customer engagement
- Upsell relevant products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure efficient checkout processes
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and refunds
- Ensure the store environment remains clean, organized, and inviting
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Bilingual abilities (English required; additional languages are a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising preferred
