Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pizza Chef to join our high volume restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where quality and teamwork are valued. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn the art of pizza making.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Handle food preparation tasks including dough stretching, topping assembly, and ingredient portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during meal preparation
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high quality standards
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredients and notifying management of supply needs
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, especially in pizza or restaurant kitchens, is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving menu offerings
