In this part-time / consultant role, you'll create value by developing new business and supporting existing accounts for our CNC machining, engineering, AOG, and supply chain services.

Tru-Tech Precision Inc. is an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified precision manufacturer in Mississauga, Ontario, with over 12 years of experience producing complex, tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, nuclear, space, electronic, marine, and commercial customers. We are registered under the Controlled Goods Program, proudly Made in Canada / Ontario Made, and active members of DAIR and the CTMA.
Our capabilities include CNC turning and 3–5 axis milling, in-house engineering and manufacturability consulting, AOG / quick-turn machining, and end-to-end supply chain management with full material traceability.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to company leadership, the Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new machining and engineering business and supporting selected accounts across Ontario and beyond.
This is a part-time / consultant engagement, primarily remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business across our core industries (aerospace, defense, nuclear, space, electronic, marine, commercial)
- Build relationships with buyers, supply chain managers, and engineering leads at OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers
- Position Tru-Tech's strengths — AS9100D quality, Controlled Goods registration, traceability, AOG responsiveness, and Canadian sourcing
- Generate and qualify a pipeline of new opportunities through to close or warm hand-off
- Work with engineering and estimating to scope RFQs and shape competitive proposals
- Represent Tru-Tech at trade shows, industry events, and through DAIR/CTMA networks
- Provide concise reporting on sales activity, pipeline, and forecast
- Share market intelligence on demand trends, competitor activity, and capability gaps worth pursuing
Job Requirements
- University degree or equivalent approved experience
- Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience, ideally in precision manufacturing, CNC machining, or the aerospace/defense supply chain
- A working understanding of CNC machining (turning and milling) and the ability to read technical specs and translate them into client value
- Self-directed track record of opening accounts and hitting targets without close supervision
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Based in Ontario, able to be on-site as needed and travel occasionally for client meetings and events
- Eligible for Controlled Goods Program registration (see above)
Assets
- Existing relationships or network in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing
- Prior experience selling to aerospace OEMs, Tier 1/2 suppliers, or MRO operations
- Experience with 3–5 axis machining, complex assemblies, or AOG/quick-turn work
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management systems and ITAR/Controlled Goods requirements
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM concepts
