Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing routine maintenance, tire services, and basic automotive repairs to ensure customer vehicles are safe and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is a plus, but we provide training for the right candidate eager to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
Duties
- Perform tire rotations, replacements, balancing, and inspections with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct oil changes, fluid top-offs, and other routine vehicle maintenance tasks
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with vehicle inspections and identify potential mechanical issues
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Assist in sales efforts by informing customers about additional services or products that meet their vehicle needs
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Skills
- Prior dealership or mechanic experience highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as needed for tire handling and vehicle servicing
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and routine maintenance tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving automotive technologies
