Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and experienced Excavator Operator to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring proven hands-on experience in demolition, loading trucks, cutting excavations, brush clearing, site preparation and civil construction work. This role plays a key part in executing projects with precision while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
A strong understanding of safe operating procedures, job site awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is essential. The successful candidate must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, lifting, and site preparation tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Assist with site layout and measurements using construction tools and techniques.
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute excavation tasks accurately.
- Maintain a clean work environment around machinery and worksite areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations.
- Support additional construction activities such as horizontal drilling or paving as needed.
- Availability for overtime/weekend work as required

Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy construction equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
- Excellent coordination skills and attention to detail for precise excavation and site work.
- Construction experience with a focus on site development, grading, paving, or similar projects is preferred.
- Experience trenching, grading, site preparation, loading trucks and civil work activities.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
