About the Company
Reporting to the VP of Construction, this role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle to ensure safety, timeliness, and budget compliance while driving revenue and profitability. You’ll be joining a mid-sized general contractor specializing in small to medium-sized projects ranging from $1M–$50M.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee multiple projects from design through completion, managing all phases including permitting, procurement, scheduling, construction, and close-out. The role involves leading subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality control, monitoring budgets, and providing regular updates to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple construction projects simultaneously, from design to close-out
- Manage design reviews and sign-off processes with stakeholders
- Oversee subcontractor contracts, bids, RFIs, and change orders
- Take ownership of project schedules, understanding critical paths and opportunities to shorten timelines
- Ensure quality assurance/control processes are followed with consultants and testing agencies
What You Bring
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in construction
- Professional Engineering or Technology designation an asset
- Proven experience with Design-Build projects, particularly in light industrial and commercial sectors
- Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and codes
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and deliver projects on time
- Strong leadership and team-motivation skills
