Required Skills and Attributes:
- Red Seal Journeyman Machinist (an asset)
- 5+ Experience (ADVANCED skill only)
- Able to set-up and operate multi-axis CNC machines
- Proficient at reading technical drawings
- Read and interpret G-code
- Working under minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient using handheld measuring equipment to inspected machined parts
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Stand for long periods of time
- Read, write and communicate in English
- Self-motivated
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Pride in workmanship
Responsibilities:
- Set-up CNC machines with live tooling
- Operate CNC machines
- Run prototype and production orders
- Maintain quality control to ensure job specifications are maintained
- Perform quality inspections
- Support other departments
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Lifting up to 50lb
