Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Data Analyst Intern. In this role, you will work closely with our Maximo system, which is used for asset management and maintenance. Your primary responsibility will be to clean and enhance data within the Maximo database, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:

Review and analyze data within the Maximo system.

Identify inconsistencies, errors, and duplicates.

Correct data entries, standardize formats, and remove irrelevant information.

Collaborate with other team members to validate data changes.
Excel and Access:
-
Utilize Microsoft Excel and Access to manipulate and transform data.

Create and execute queries to extract relevant information.

Develop macros or scripts to automate data cleaning processes.

Ensure data integrity during import/export between Maximo and Excel/Access.
Documentation:

Maintain clear documentation of data cleansing procedures.

Record any issues encountered and their resolutions.

Document best practices for future reference.

Quality Assurance:
-
Validate the accuracy of cleaned data.

Perform data validation checks to ensure consistency.

Assist in testing data migration processes.
Collaboration:

Work closely with Maximo administrators and other team members.

Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on data quality improvement.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to follow data cleansing guidelines and procedures.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
