As an assistant to both the Executive Producer and Managing Editors, the Production Unit Assistant will primarily be responsible for managing the budget and scheduling details.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with newsroom staff to execute timely and efficient approaches to budgets, scheduling, workflow, and logistics
Assist in managing daily operational functions
Prepare, track and scan online expenses via ARIBA
Assist with travel arrangements
Assist with coding and processing of employee and freelance time records
Process approved vacation requests and arrange backfill
What You’ll Need:
3-5 years of experience in production administrative environment
Ability to work in a high-pressure team environment
Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
Keen attention to detail
Ability to work for multiple leaders
Superior communication skills
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt work processes accordingly
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time constraints
Must be proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
A sense of humour
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
