Seasonal Part-time—Job Opportunity

Holy Mackerel—A Whimsical Maritime Emporium—opened May 2023 in iconic Peggy’s Cove. This exciting retail shop features a curated collection of high-end crafts and other products by Atlantic Canadian artisans, showcasing the best the region has to offer to Nova Scotians as well as to the more than many 850,000 visitors from around the world who travel to Peggy’s Cove each year.
We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Part-timer with a proven record of excellence in customer service to join our team. Positive, energetic, and self-motivated, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn about the products we sell and the artisans behind them and have the ability to effectively share that knowledge with other team members and customers, alike. Retail and merchandising experience are definite assets.
Candidate attributes should include:
* Experience in retail best practices, including point-of-sale systems (Square is an asset), customer service, and merchandising.
* The ability to work independently while fostering a respectful team environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with both staff and customers.
* The desire to meet or exceed seasonal sales goals.
Holy Mackerel—A Whimsical Maritime Emporium will be open to the public from May to end of October.
Schedule: TBD—will include weekdays and weekends
