What is the opportunity?
As the Business Development Specialist, you will be focused on managing Group Home & Auto client relationships, driving sales activity with assigned groups for multiple sales channels. You will be responsible for meeting annual sales, retention and penetration targets for Group Home & Auto by developing & implementing marketing plans & strategic initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for the Montreal area market.
What will you do?
Promote the RBCI Group Home and Auto value proposition to Group sponsors and its employees / membership
Develop and implement a Territorial Business Plan to deliver on sales, penetration and referral goals
Develop and implement marketing plans & strategic initiatives to drive penetration and retention levels including contact plans and on-site visits for each client to ensure relationship expansion
Partner effectively with Field Sales and Advice Centre teams to achieve sales and penetration goals
Accountable for the acquisition and successful on boarding of new groups
Manage relationships with key external stakeholders to ensure quality customer service as well as key internal stakeholders for product, process, underwriting, marketing or industry info for you and/or your client
What do you need to succeed?
5 - 7 years previous sales experience, preferably in the insurance industry
Proven experience with relationship management
University education or equivalent
General license or willing to attain
Strong presentation skills, highly driven and self-motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
