Mississauga, ON
$100,000 – $115,000 + 5% annual bonus | Full-time, on-site
You own the master schedule and the capacity plan, you decide when work hits the shop floor, and you're accountable for an inventory system that matches what's physically on the shelf. When customer demand and available capacity don't line up, you're the person who figures out how to close the gap without blowing the budget or the delivery date.

- Prioritize production through bottleneck work centres to protect the schedule
- Own monthly and annual production plans built off the annual budget and sales forecast
- Provide cumulative lead times and available capacity to Marketing and Contracts for quoting
Materials and inventory
- Manage requisition of direct materials
- Set and review planning rules: lead times, batch sizes, safety stock, shrinkage factors
- Run cycle counting, audits, and reorganization so system inventory matches physical inventory
- Own the layout and operation of stores and shipping
- Manage the impact of engineering changes on material
Tooling and reporting
- Maintain accurate status on all company- and customer-owned tooling, including removal and disposal of surplus tools
- Manage scrap reporting through the required customer and program reporting systems
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to plant management and corporate — MRP, requisitions, inventory, and operating-system metrics
Leading the team
- Lead the material planning, shipping, and receiving functions. Dealing with a Material Control Supervisor, Master Scheduler, Material Specialist, Production Control Coordinator, Program Planners, Expediters, and Warehousepersons
- Handle performance reviews, budgeting, training, and development
- Keep your departments operating safely
- Maintain departmental procedures in line with the company Quality Manual, AS9100, and corporate policy
- Drive actions under the company's operating system and hold strong process and performance scores
- Lead process improvement work in the ERP environment and across Supply Chain
