Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy equipment and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery including excavators, skid steers, forklifts, farm machinery, and other industrial equipment. The Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our operations through expert maintenance and repair services. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to troubleshoot issues efficiently. The Mechanic will play a vital role in minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Operate heavy machinery for testing or calibration purposes when necessary.
- Maintain detailed workorders of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in assembly or installation of new equipment as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations.
- The ability to provide customer service by communicating effectively with customers would be an asset.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and minimize operational disruptions.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards.

Pay: $23.61-$48.85 per hour
