Position Summary
Swift Supply is seeking a reliable and organized Pipe Yard Coordinator to oversee daily yard operations, inventory management, material handling, and shipping/receiving activities. The ideal candidate will ensure materials are accurately stored, tracked, loaded, and unloaded while maintaining a safe and efficient yard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations within the pipe yard to ensure efficient material flow.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Organize, label, and maintain inventory of pipe and related products.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of customer and supplier deliveries.
- Prepare and stage customer orders for shipment or pickup, Completing packing lists and associated MTR requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Operate Wheel Loaders and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using company systems.
- Inspect yard conditions and ensure housekeeping standards are met.
- Work closely with warehouse, sales, procurement, and logistics teams to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and operational issues promptly.
- Assist in training yard personnel on procedures and safety practices.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, yard, distribution, or industrial materials handling.
- Experience working with pipe, steel products, construction materials, or industrial supplies.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred
- Experience in pipe, valve, and fitting (PVF) distribution.
- Knowledge of industrial products and material specifications.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.

Work Environment
This position involves a combination of outdoor yard work and indoor warehouse activities. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and operating material-handling equipment safely.
