Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Painter / Supervisory Skilled Handy Person to execute and oversee residential painting and small construction projects, and to manage a small team of skilled personnel. This leadership role requires a strong background in residential maintenance, and painting, along with excellent communication and co-management skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating residential handy repairs, small construction, and painting jobs, ensuring quality standards, and supervising while working alongside a team of skilled people to deliver exceptional results. This position offers an opportunity to co-lead diverse projects, utilize a broad skill set, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship in residential settings.
Duties
- Co-lead and supervise residential painting projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to our company protocols and standards
- Coordinate with the owner and co-lead on and off-site to understand project requirements and represent the company with excellent customer service, organization, and quality standards throughout the process
- Prepare surfaces, caulking, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Read drawings, schematics, and plan work sequences effectively
- Operate and maintain power tools, hand tools, rigging equipment, and scaffolding as needed for various projects
- Perform construction, painting, and restoration work with attention to detail
- Oversee the use of construction and painting techniques while maintaining standards
- Manage project timelines through effective time management & resource allocation
- Train and mentor team members on proper use of tools, safety procedures, and trade skills such as carpentry, drywall, painting
- Ensure all work complies with industry, company, and safety standards and specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, restoration, and or commercial/residential painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Skilled in painting, carpentry, caulking, rigging, drawings and schematics interpretation, and use of power tools and hand tools
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising trades & crew members
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction / painting environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
