Position Overview
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, team supervision, and process optimization. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, efficient order fulfillment and inventory control while fostering a high-performing, well-trained team.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, shipping, order picking, kitting, and special projects
- Ensure all orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines
- Monitor workflow and adjust team assignments to meet shifting priorities and deadlines
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of warehouse associates
- Provide ongoing training to ensure staff are properly equipped and operating efficiently
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment
- Coordinate vacation coverage and facilitate cross-training to prevent service disruptions
Process Improvement & SOPs
- Help develop, implement, and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to established procedures and quality standards
Inventory & Performance Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies
- Track and analyze performance metrics (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and service levels
- Develop corrective actions and recommendations when KPIs fall below targets
QualificationsRequired Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory processes and warehouse organization

Working Conditions

- Physical requirements Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required up to 50lbs, ability to climb ladders and lift over head

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

- Winnipeg, MB R2X 1R2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
