Title: Purchasing Assistant
Reports to: Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Supervisor
Based at: BoemBerry Farms Inc., Kingsville, Ontario.
Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which will include some Saturdays.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Create Purchase Orders and Sales Orders for all Mucci locations

Maintain CHEP pallet and RPC reporting on a weekly basis

Provide support for procurement and inventory control when required

Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and records
-
Performs various administrative functions, relating to daily, weekly, monthly and year-end activities
-
Assisting continuous improvement team with tag issues

Month end report for farm inventory reconciliations and reports for management

Order and track CHEP pallets

Monthly Inventory counting and costing of all locations

Any other tasks and responsibilities requested by Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Strong computer skills knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Windows and Famous

Reporting of inventory and costing at the end of each month using Microsoft Excel

Strong communication skills with staff and Grower members to ensure the daily supplies of all packaging related materials

Able to meet Company and or Customer tasks and deadlines
Physical Abilities:

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time

Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
-
Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs

Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
-
Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
