About DLF Financial Services
DLF Financial Services Inc. is an established financial services practice serving individuals, families, and business owners across Southern Alberta, Southwest Saskatchewan, and Southeast British Columbia. We provide integrated wealth management and insurance solutions built around each client’s full financial picture.
We operate as a focused, accountable team. Everyone owns their work. We are growing and looking for someone who wants to be part of that growth.
The Role
The Associate Advisor is the operational core of the lead advisor’s practice. Your primary function is to ensure the lead advisor’s client meetings are fully prepared, all follow-through is executed without gaps, and every client outcome is tracked to completion.
In addition to that support function, you will independently manage and service a defined segment of clients — handling their ongoing reviews, communication, and planning needs directly.
This role requires someone who is organized, proactive, and accountable. You do not wait to be told what needs to happen next — you already know.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Advisor Support — Primary Function
- Own the complete pre-meeting cycle — client files reviewed, agenda prepared, documentation ready before every meeting
- Attend client meetings, capture all action items, and drive post-meeting follow-through to completion on schedule
- Coordinate with internal team members and external partners to ensure all implementation steps are completed accurately and on time
- Track outstanding items across the full client book and proactively ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Support the lead advisor in delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience across a geographically distributed book covering Southern Alberta, Southwest Saskatchewan, and Southeast BC
Independent Client Service — Defined Segment
- Independently manage a defined segment of the client base — annual reviews, ongoing communication, and proactive needs assessment
- Build strong client relationships through consistent follow-up, clear communication, and reliable delivery
- Identify planning gaps and service opportunities within the assigned segment and surface them with a clear recommendation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records and documentation at all times
Practice Contribution
- Maintain a service standard that clients notice — responsive, organized, and ahead of what they need
- Support relationship-building with existing clients and centres of influence across the practice’s service regions
- Collaborate with the lead advisor on planning situations involving investment, insurance, and estate coordination
