We are looking for an Operations Planner who will support our sales forecasting efforts and ensure the balance between capacity and demand. As an Operations Planner, you will play an important role in shaping our sales strategies and ensuring optimal resource allocation to drive business success.
This role will operate four days ever week, Sunday to Wednesday and will cover 1PM to 11PM MDT shift.
- Create mid to short term plan of sales, capacity, and availability
- Analyze and understand dynamic forecasts to maximize sales, including forecasting key assumptions
- Perform complex analysis in a specific area of sales and capacity planning
- Manage day to day sales and capacity planning operations
- Balance delivery and CFC (customer fulfillment center) capacity to maximize efficiency
- Monitor and react to customer demand and slot availability for customers
- Interpreting the trends and variances in key reporting in support of decisions that are required to improve financial performance
- Create and re-create routes, resolve violations (ex. DPV (delivery per vehicle) exceeds recommended weight guidelines) and incorporate event considerations
- Optimize business process and identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Provide the business relevant, reliable, and timely sales and capacity planning information including Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and appropriate variance analysis
- Support CFC / spoke planning (secondary sites)
- Provide analytical support to Operational Planning Manager
- Communicate closely with sales teams, operational teams, and other planning teams
- Prepare various ad-hoc reporting requests and analytical reports
- Act as the key contact for emergency capacity planning needs from the CFC
- Identify and respond to and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
- Support the preparation of data analysis, insight, and recommendations, as assigned
- Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business
- At least 2 years of professional experience in data analytics.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce or Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python is required.
- Proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI is required.
- Previous experience in planning is advantageous, including order modeling, forecasting, re-forecasting, and integrated planning for distribution inbound/outbound and category planning.
- Experience in Supply Chain is considered an asset.
