Location: Southeast Calgary
Pay Rate: $20 - $21 per hour
Shift: 8am to 4:30pm
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable driver for our premier distribution client in the Southeast. The successful candidate will safely operate delivery vehicles and perform warehouse duties when required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Road Side (Driving Duties)
- Safely operate a Class 5 cube van across the Calgary region.
- Meticulously complete and sign off on daily vehicle inspection sheets.
- Secure, strap, and block all freight safely prior to departure.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members regarding delivery status.
- Follow safety protocols and traffic regulations at all times.
The Floor Side (Warehouse Duties)
- Perform receiving protocols, inventory stocking, and order picking.
- Operate an RF scanner with high accuracy to track warehouse movements.
- Execute general shipping tasks, including safe loading and unloading using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual handling techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional delivery experience driving a 5-ton cube van.
- Compliance: Valid Class 5 licence, clean driver’s abstract, and the ability to pass a criminal record check.
- References: Must provide 2 professional driving references.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and valid fall protection certification.
- Physical Strength: Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable working in the warehouse daily.
- Core Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines consistently.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
