POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an assistant position supporting the Manager of Commercial Administration and our team of Underwriters. The individual will be focused on our specialty lines products and be responsible for file maintenance, processing of insurance documentation, invoicing and other administrative tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up of new/renewal accounts, attaching correspondence, creating/monitoring activities.
- Issuance of new & renewal policies, endorsements & cancellations
- Ownership of insurance renewal program processing
- Identify submission by lines of business using workflows provided
- Become familiar with specialty product wordings
- Correspond with internal and external partners on account status or follow up with partners for documentation
- Invoicing transactions and correcting discrepancies and portal entry issues as required
- Entry and reporting of document transactions on monthly bordereaux
- Using reports to generate bordereaux and renewal lists and ad hoc queries
- Preparing extensions of coverage for internal/external referral
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of experience in an underwriting assistance role preferred.
- Insurance Program Graduate ideal.
- Focusing on a career in operations management
- Highly organized, with a focus for attention to detail, accuracy and time management
- Ability to be a self-starter with both remote and in person workdays
- Proactive problem solving with strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills
- System Experience: MS Office, Applied Epic, Policy Works, Online Portals, Lineage
