Education: College Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in science, biotechnology, lifesciences, chemistry, materials science, or related fields required.

About the Job:
We are looking for a passionate Scientific Writer with a strong desire to be a part of our growing company. You will be responsible for writing creative, engaging and branded content. You will work closely with the Marketing, Sales and Product teams to produce technically valuable content that will help researchers succeed. You will directly impact our inbound marketing strategy while helping scientists get the valuable information they need to accelerate their research. Our ideal candidate has over 3 years of experience in a copywriting role for scientific instruments or other technical products.

Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, Product and Customer Success teams to produce valuable content that will help academic and industry researchers succeed - Translating technical/scientific concepts into engaging, concise, and empowering content.
Gather information on academic and industry research topics from various platforms including scientific journals, magazines and blogs.
Apply user experience and market research knowledge to create content for a target audience.
Produce digital marketing content to increase lead generation and engagement including blog posts, application notes, brochures, case studies, email campaigns, website content, webinars, social media posts, press releases and paid ads.
Contribute to Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and other efforts to increase organic web traffic.
Champion the company’s brand voice by proofreading and editing documentation to ensure that all content is consistent in terms of style, tone of voice and quality.
Develop brand content strategy that connects researchers with our brand, builds narratives around Nicoya’s products and brings compelling content experiences to life across multiple channels.
Continuously improve digital marketing campaign content using marketing metrics and feedback.
Collaborate with the Product team to produce user-friendly text for software user interface.
Collaborate with the Customer Success team to develop and improve customer-facing documentation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest academic and industry research.
3+ years of experience in a copywriting role for scientific instruments and/or other technical products.
Formal training in science, biotechnology, lifesciences, chemistry, materials science, or related fields.
Previous experience in an academic or industrial research/development setting.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an impeccable eye for detail.
Ability to write in a clear, concise and organized manner with evidence of excellent critical analysis, editing and proofreading skills.
Proven experience developing digital marketing content to increase lead generation and engagement (i.e blog posts, application notes, brochures, case studies, email campaigns, website content, webinars, social media posts, press releases and paid ads).
Ability to create targeted content using market research and buyer personas.
Experience developing writing style guides and documentation processes.
Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in a creative, concise and engaging way.
Passionate about the latest scientific research, news, methods, and tools.
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Ability to embrace change in a rapidly evolving environment. You thrive on gathering and applying feedback to improve projects.
