Senior Engineering Design Systems Designer

Hycroft is looking for a Senior Engineering Design Systems Designer to lead our engineering design systems drafting team, set CAD standards, and deliver expert-level work on our most complex projects.
About the Role
As a Senior Engineering Design Systems Designer, you will lead the engineering design systems drafting effort across our project portfolio. You will set technical direction for drawings, mentor designers, and serve as the senior CAD authority for the discipline.
This is a hybrid role based in Surrey, BC.
What You'll Do
- Lead the engineering design systems drafting effort across multiple projects
- Set CAD standards, templates, and best practices for the discipline
- Mentor and develop intermediate and junior designers
- Serve as senior technical authority on complex drawing challenges
- Complete CAD design work as required
- Review and approve discipline drawings before issue
- Drive continuous improvement of CAD tools and workflows
- Support proposal preparation, estimating, and BD initiatives
What You Bring
- Diploma or degree in CAD design, drafting, or related technical program
- 10+ years of progressive engineering design systems design experience within an EPC environment
- Expert-level AutoCAD, Revit, 3D CAD and CAD management/automation tools skills
- Deep knowledge of CAD standards, drawing automation, and engineering design systems
- 2+ years managing a drafting team and assigning work
- Track record mentoring junior staff and leading drafting efforts
- Authorized to work in Canada

- Experience with managing and troubleshooting software licensing
- CET designation with extensive experience
