We are seeking an experienced full-time Assembler to join our Overhead Door Division in Winnipeg. As

directed by shop the supervisor, assembler’s fasten components and operate welding equipment to weld,

prepare, and manufacture windows, doors, and hardware products.

  • Weld parts and pieces of doors
  • Preps for windows and prepping for various types of hardware parts
  • Read work orders
  • Sort parts, scrap, metal and other materials
  • Clean work areas and equipment
  • Follows direction & instruction from supervisor
  • Follows all safety policies including wearing appropriate safety attire at all times
  • Internally transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or by using joists and
other devices

  • Operate manual welding equipment
  • May include forklift operation
  • May perform other tasks as necessary
  • Always treat customers, suppliers and co-workers with dignity and respect
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Willing to perform other jobs as required by organizational demands
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team-based collaborative environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work safely and responsibly to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Presenting and performing to the highest quality standards
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all written and oral communication as applicable
  • Always represent the Company with integrity in an ethical and legal manner
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience
  • Forklift certificate is considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders/blue prints
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring utensils
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work to exacting standards
  • Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently as well in a team environment
