Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, fabrication, and assembly processes, with a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects including Metal Furniture Components, and custom fabrications, utilizing various tools and techniques to produce high-quality work. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in MIG welding, and blueprint reading, along with familiarity with power tools and hand tools. A background in manufacturing or construction environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Perform welding operations using MIG and TIG techniques to fabricate metal components with precision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper dimensions and quality standards..
- Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate forklifts when necessary for material handling within the shop or job site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machinery operation, and assembly techniques.
- Familiarity with rigging operations including crane handling for heavy lifting.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
- Experience working in manufacturing and Welding
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
