The Innovation team at the Institute for Better Health is embarking on an exciting new initiative and is seeking a Solutions Architect to support the design, build and implementation of a platform that will enable, inform and enrich business processes at Trillium Health Partners.
The Solutions Architect is the premier designer and implementer of the technical vision for the Momentum platform – Innovation Team at Trillium Health Partners.
Some of the things you’ll be doing are…
Working on mobile and web application development projects
Design, build and maintain SQL data layers
Design, build and maintain RESTful APIs
Build and maintain front end web and mobile applications to interact with our APIs
Engage with frontline clinicians and other key stakeholders to understand clinical problems and create practical solutions to address these problems
Foster innovation across the organization by investigating new technologies and constantly updating your technical knowledge and skills
Test, debug and deploy a custom application
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems
Create robust documentation of solutions and underlying design decisions and operating procedures
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; Master’s or other graduate degree in a quantitative field is an asset
3-7 years of professional experience in Big Data development, data engineering, data architecture or data management
Demonstrated experience with project management. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems leveraging cloud computing technologies
Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming using .NET C#, ASP.NETMVC, ASP.NET Core, Entity Frameworks is a requirement
Knowledge of frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, and Knockout is an asset.
Experience developing native mobile applications for iOS/Android phones preferably with Xamarin
Experience with 3rd Party Products like Devexpress, Devextreme and Telerik Components
Experience with the Agile methodology for development
Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs
Advanced knowledge of IIS, PowerShell scripting, MS Visual Studio and Source Control and SQL Server 2014/2016+
Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
Experience preparing specifications, utilizing formal Systems Development and Analysis, and SDLC techniques
Demonstrates active participation in continuing education with up-to-date knowledge and technical expertise in your discipline and a commitment to learning new techniques and procedures
Experience with several of the following: Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, SSAS and DAX, Reporting Services, SSIS
Experience regarding different non-relational database
Knowledge of cloud and hybrid-cloud implementation including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (e.g. MS PowerPoint, Visio)
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Good understanding of hospital operations and the healthcare system encouraged
Works well as part of a team
