The Grill on King is seeking qualified Sous Chefs that are fully capable of working all stations on line. Must be able to multi task, work under pressure in a fast pace environment. Have skills on putting out quality food to company standards and be able to work well in a team setting. Must also have knife skills, common sense and can execute in a timely manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Must be responsible for guiding the line and communicating well with the team to execute orders on time. Responsible to set up and tear down the kitchen line and be able to do the change overs from breakfast to lunch and lunch to dinner. To ensure proper prepping is sufficient for the time of season and must always be ready for work.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have had previous work in this field or higher that can work independently and in a team. Must show skills of creating of new dishes and be a positive role to demonstrate leadership skills.
Knife skills, multitasking, ability to understand and work all areas of the kitchen and must be hands on. Duties may entail opening, closing duties, preparing their stations as well as working with the team to ensure service is ready on line and offline. Have the ability to think outside of the box and come up with ideas within reason to feature items. They need to work in a team environment to execute orders in a timely fashion for a busy restaurant in season.
