In-Home Dog Boarding Care Provider (Tri-Cities Area)
We are looking for a reliable, calm, home-based dog lover to provide in-home boarding for a small number of well-trained, socialized dogs within a structured care system.
This is a stable, routine-based role designed for someone who enjoys peaceful daily dog companionship in their home, not a high-volume daycare or independent dog business.
About Us
My name is Lindy, and I own and operate Blue Dog Hiking, an established dog care service focused on calm, structured, and well-managed dog experiences throughout the Tri-Cities area.
Dogs are part of an active daily routine that includes a 2-hour structured group hike led by an experienced professional handler, along with calm home-based rest and supervision in a stable environment.
We operate on a simple and consistent system:
- Dogs are picked up and dropped off at your home
- Dogs participate in a daily hike when appropriate
- Dogs spend the remainder of the day resting and relaxing in a calm home environment
This is a well-organized, low-volume care system — not a kennel or daycare environment.

About the Role
Dogs stay in your home in a calm, structured environment.
Each dog follows a consistent routine that includes:
- Pick-up and drop-off coordinated by us (weekdays only)
- A structured daily group hike
- Calm rest and supervision in your home for the remainder of the day
Dogs are well-behaved, socialized, and already exercised before settling into your home environment.
You would be responsible for:
- Overnight care in your home
- Feeding and fresh water
- Basic daytime supervision
- Light cleanup and maintaining a calm environment
- Occasional simple communication with owners if needed.
Logistics
- All dog pickups and drop-offs are arranged by us
- Dogs are transported directly to and from your home
- No client drop-ins or third-party visits
- Weekday pickups/drop-offs are scheduled in advance
- We generally have 1-3 dogs booked for overnight care per month, which can vary from 3 to 21 days booked
