A well-established industrial company is seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to join its team as a Counter Sales Representative.
This role involves a mix of customer service, sales, and general warehouse support. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys a busy work environment and working with both customers and coworkers.
Responsibilities:
- Help customers with questions, orders, and general requests.
- Enter and follow up on quotes and orders to make sure everything is accurate.
- Help customers find the right products or solutions for what they need.
- Keep customers updated on orders, product availability, and expected delivery times.
- Work with suppliers and other team members to make sure orders are completed properly and on time.
- Build good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Help keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for customers.
- Assist with receiving, putting away stock, inventory counts, and keeping records up to date.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
- Help out with other sales, office, warehouse, or customer service tasks when needed.
Requirements:
- 2 or more years experience in industrial components/distribution or a related field.
- Forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment experience is an asset.
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with customers.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to stay organized and handle several tasks at once.
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
- Can manage time well and work both on your own and with a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
- Able to follow company procedures and workplace safety guidelines.
- Comfortable working with computers, Microsoft Office, and inventory/order-entry software.
