About the Clinic
The Nova Thera Wellness is a purpose-built, 4,030 sq ft integrated medical aesthetics and wellness destination in Woodbridge, Ontario. We combine evidence-based regulated healthcare (chiropractic, RMT, acupuncture) with advanced biohacking technologies, medical aesthetics, IV therapy, diagnostic services, and longevity programs under one roof — serving clients who prioritize preventative care, optimization, and long-term vitality.
Our IV Lounge and injectable services are central to our clinical offering. We are looking for a skilled, client-focused Registered Nurse to join our founding clinical team, help build our protocols, and deliver exceptional care in a modern, supportive environment.
Role Overview
As our Registered Nurse — IV Therapy & Medical Injectables, you will be the hands-on clinical anchor for our IV Lounge and aesthetic injectable services. You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Naturopathic Doctor (ND), chiropractors, RMTs, and medical aestheticians, ensuring every client receives safe, personalized, and effective care.
This is a part-time role designed for an RN who values flexibility, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to grow within a fast-evolving integrative wellness practice. You will not carry administrative burden — our clinic coordinator team handles scheduling, intake, and billing.
Key ResponsibilitiesIV Therapy Administration
- Prepare, administer, and monitor IV infusion therapies including: vitamin drips (B12, Myers Cocktail, Vitamin C), NAD+, glutathione, hydration therapy, hangover recovery, energy boost, chelation/detox protocols, and post-operative recovery drips
- Conduct pre-infusion client assessments: health history review, contraindication screening, vital signs
- Insert and manage peripheral IV lines safely and with minimal client discomfort
- Monitor clients throughout infusion for adverse reactions; manage and document any events
- Ensure IV therapy room and supplies are stocked, sterile, and compliant with clinical protocols
- Review and follow physician/NP-authorized standing orders and individualized treatment plans
Medical Injectables
- Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SC) injections: vitamin B12, vitamin D, weight management medications (where NP-authorized), and other therapeutic injectables within RN scope of practice
- Follow physician or NP prescription and standing orders for all injectable medications — no independent prescribing required
- Maintain accurate pre- and post-injection records in EMR (Jane App)
- Educate clients on what to expect during and after treatments; support informed consent processes
Clinical Safety & Protocol Compliance
- Adhere to all CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario) standards and professional practice guidelines
- Maintain clinic infection control and aseptic technique standards at all times
- Ensure emergency protocols are accessible and ready; conduct basic adverse reaction management
- Collaborate with the NP and clinical team on refining IV therapy and injectable protocols
- Flag any clinical concerns, contraindications, or adverse events promptly to the NP/Medical Director
Client Experience
- Create a calm, professional, and welcoming environment for clients during all clinical interactions
- Explain treatment processes clearly in plain language; address client questions and concerns
- Follow the clinic's client journey framework — brief wellness education during service where appropriate
- Maintain client confidentiality and privacy in compliance with PIPEDA
Documentation & Teamwork
- Complete accurate, timely clinical notes in Jane App EMR for every client interaction
- Communicate relevant clinical updates to the NP, ND, and operations team
- Participate in monthly clinical team briefings and protocol review sessions
- Support onboarding of future nursing staff where applicable
Scope Note: This role is structured within the RN scope of practice under the Regulated Health Professions Act (Ontario). The RN does not independently prescribe medications. All IV formulas, injectable medications, and treatment orders are authorized by the clinic NP or Medical Director under standing orders. The RN's responsibility is safe, skilled execution and monitoring.
