Job Description
Kluskap Security Services is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Security Guards for opportunities in Amherst, Nova Scotia.
We are looking for reliable, professional, and motivated individuals who take pride in representing our company and providing excellent security service to our clients. Successful candidates must be dependable, alert, respectful, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
Shifts will primarily be evenings and overnights, so applicants must be comfortable working late hours, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Duties May Include:
- Access control and site monitoring
- Interior and exterior patrols
- Incident reporting and daily log entries
- Customer service and public interaction
- Monitoring for safety, security, and property concerns
- Responding to issues as directed by supervisors or client contacts
- Maintaining a professional and visible security presence at all times
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check in order to obtain a Nova Scotia Security Guard License
- Must have a valid St. John Ambulance First Aid and CPR Level C certification
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions
- Must be able to attend a 3-day in-class training program for required certifications
- Must be available to work evenings and overnights
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation is required
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods
- Must be punctual, dependable, and professional
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must have CSA-approved black boots. Black boots are not supplied by Kluskap Security Services.
Uniform Requirements:
Employees are expected to wear the issued Kluskap Security uniform properly, including issued polo, pants, belt, hat, and jacket when required. Employees are also expected to have and wear CSA-approved black boots, which are not supplied by Kluskap Security Services.
