Muskoka Woods believes that pouring into our staff and providing wholistic care for each person will result in an overflow of safety and care for our guests. The Staff Coach Leadership role makes that a reality, along with our Leadership Staff who contribute to the overall staff care.
The role of the Staff Coach is to work alongside the Human Resources team to support and care for our staff, both individually and as a community. They are responsible for coordinating and executing activities that focus on personal, spirtual, and social development. This looks like organizing our weekly staff service (Cadence), including booking speakers, coordinating worship teams, and producing small group material. The Staff Coach will also facilitate a weekly bible study, and may be required to speak at Cadence and Staff Weeks. This role helps pair staff in our One-to-One mentoring program to foster growth and connections, and is responsible to organize fun social events to strengthen our community. The Staff Coach also assists the full time Human Resource team by fullfilling administrative tasks pertaining to employment of the seasonal staff when needed.
As part of the broader Leadership Team, the Staff Coach is THE champion of staff ministry initiatives, staff care and community life – including planning staff events, leading small groups, or just being a steady presence in the highs and lows of camp life. Being part of leadership means contributing to shaping the staff team through planning Staff Development weeks, participating in our One to One mentoring program and building strong, meaningful connections with our staff.
