Position Summary
Blue Peak Property Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Clerk to support our growing property management operations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing accounts payable processes, utility tracking, and general administrative functions. You will contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations while delivering professional support to the accounting and property management team.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Review, code, and accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system
- Verify invoice details and obtain required approvals in a timely manner
- Prepare and process accounts payable batches
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies proactively
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account balances
- Maintain well-organized electronic and physical filing systems
Utility Management
- Receive, review, and input utility invoices
- Allocate utility costs to appropriate properties and cost centers
- Monitor utility expenses and identify unusual trends or variances
- Assist with utility accruals and support month-end reporting
- Liaise with utility providers regarding billing issues and account updates
Accounting & Administrative Support
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and analysis as required
- Support audits and internal/external financial reviews
- Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate, diploma, or education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (preferred).
- 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with accounting or property management systems (e.g., Sage, Yardi) is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
