Responsibilities
- Layout and fabricate precision welds and elements from blueprints and engineering concepts
- Operate various metal forming and cutting machines such as Rollers, Shears, Iron Worker, Brakes, Drill Presses, and Saws.
- Rigging and Operation of lifting and material handling equipment such as Overhead Cranes, Gantries, and Forklifts
- Train and assist Junior Welder/Fabricators if needed
- Work on diversified and complex situations. Solutions to problems will require the use of independent judgment following policies and procedures.
- Ability to adjust, troubleshoots, and operates all types of welding machines.
- Knowledgeable on gasses and filler metals
- Solid experience with Welding Safety and OSHA requirements
- Perform assembly, overhaul, and repair of propulsion systems and electrical rotating apparatus.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Conduct quality inspections on assembled components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience welding all steel and copper components utilizing GTAW (TIG), and SMAW (Shielded metal Arc) Welding Process
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to electrical rotating equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with crane operation is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Excellent hand tool and power tool proficiency.
- Commitment to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in the rail or wind industries is a plus.
- High Proficiency in blueprint reading and layout technique
- Ability to work all shifts

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
