Our client, a dynamic organization in the retail and wholesale industry, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be part of the Finance department supporting the Accounts Receivable team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Pay Range: $24-26/hr
Shift: Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm
What's the Job?
- Maintain Business Partner Accounts, including contracts, discounts, rebates, and allowances.
- Process credit applications and manage credit terms and limits.
- Reconcile payments to customer accounts and initiate communication to resolve past-due balances.
- Validate rebates and allowances per customer contracts and manage marketing trade fund accounts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly aging summaries, manage customer trade spend accruals, and assist with month-end and year-end audits.
What's Needed?
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in a B2B environment managing high-volume accounts.
- Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business is considered an asset.
- Strong reconciliation, analytical skills, and the ability to investigate and resolve outstanding items.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (power user) and Outlook.
