Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the skills necessary to maintain beautiful and healthy outdoor spaces. Duties
- Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas using hand tools and power tools
- Plant, prune, water, fertilize, and weed garden beds to promote healthy growth
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and conserve water resources
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and mulching
- Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases, applying appropriate treatments when necessary
- Assist with seasonal planting and garden redesign projects
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use
- Follow safety protocols while handling tools and chemicals
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems preferred
- Knowledge of landscaping practices, horticulture principles, and plant care techniques
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance including pruning, planting, watering, and fertilizing
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor environments
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience in gardening or horticulture is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
