Summary
We have an immediate vacancy for a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Kitchener to support the organization in delivering the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) objectives through direct interaction with product quality, and product quality improvements in both cable, and cable assembly operations customers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction – technical support of the customer, and promotion of BizLink’s reputation and Zero-Defect Strategy
- Realization of customer specific requirements
- Involvement in the optimization of cables and cable assemblies for production, quality, and cost.
- Leading MRB meeting and managing internal non conformances, 8D reports, corrective actions, and follow up meetings.
- Identification of key problem areas, and spear heading of local problem-solving strategies to minimize defects and maximize production output
- Coordination of non-conforming material, and key resource for root cause and failure analysis
- Communicating quality issues with supplies and issuing Supplier Corrective Action requests
- Conducting Internal Process control auditing
- Performing routine inspections and quality tests
- Performing First Article Inspections and reports
- Lead the company’s calibration program
- Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures
- Making recommendations for quality improvement
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other related technical field
- Education/Certification in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Engineering is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of QA experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience of use of basic electrical testing equipment
- Proficient in quality analysis tools such as 8D, 5Why, SPC, and others
- Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Teamwork and support of colleagues and internal customers a must
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
- Ability to multitask

Pay range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
