About the Role:
We are treasure hunting a unique individual who is willing to be part of a growth company and is willing to grow with us. As a Sr.QA specialist, your role will be pivotal in implementing Kings Pastry’s policies and procedures ensuring product quality and food safety. An individual who is able to bring a fresh perspective, be a team player and demonstrates strong characteristics of an emerging leader.
The role will be required to work both on manufacturing floor and in office setting with the quality and operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager. the role requires the following but not limited to:
- Conduct monthly HACCP team meetings and support compiling data for the Quarterly Management Meetings.
- Responsible for issuing the Quality Newsletter with current affairs in QA to keep the management informed.
- Be involved and take charge of Continuous Improvement Initiatives with the Quality Assurance Director and operations team demonstrating and developing key leadership skills.
- Ensure that the CCP records and other Quality Documentation is completed and up to date.
- Responsible for annual employee training and develop new training materials as required.
- Complaints Investigation from customers and initiating Internal Non-Conformances and close the investigations with relevant stakeholders.
- Data analysis for but not limited to GMP, EMP, Pre-op and Post Sanitation Monitoring.
- Assist and grow into a back up in the preparation and conducting food safety audits (includes annual third-party GFSI audit, internal audits, customer 2nd party audits, supplier audits).
- Be able to manage the Quality team in absence of Quality Assurance Manager.
- Be a back up if any of the Quality Assurance Technicians are not in office and ensure smooth running of operations.
- Ideation and able to organize events promoting Food Safety during World Food Safety Week and other events as required.
Qualifications:
- A go-getter attitudes
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance
- Knowledge of SQF or certification is assetExcellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized with time management, attention to detail, team player able to collaborate and work independently
- Ability to adapt, a quick learner in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Job Type:

- Monday- Friday (40 Hours a week)
- Weekend work is expected on an occasional basis.
