Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental software is preferred to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate record-keeping.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using Cleardent
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing transactions accurately
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations at the front desk
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office environment
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Cleardent is highly desirable but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining composure under pressure
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and office equipment
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and appointment management
- Previous experience working in a busy office setting, demonstrating multitasking capabilities and professionalism
