Responsible for preparing foods for the Residents in accordance with sanitation and safety regulations, the planned menu, and methods best suited for the nutritional quality and appearance of the food. Participates and contributes to the Quality Improvement Program. Assists with directing and training staff involved with food preparation and service Receives, stores and controls products used. Forecasts food production requirements on a daily basis, and plans for effective utilization of leftovers. Maintains the cleanliness of the food preparation area and kitchen equipment. Complies with the Health & Safety Act, WSIB Act and WHMIS training.
