Overview of Position:
Cobra Mechanical Ltd. requires skilled and hard-working Journeyman Plumbers to join our growing team. In this position, it will be your job to work on our residential and commercial job sites. Your tasks will include repair and maintenance as well as the installation of new fixtures, pipe fittings, and pipes, among other things.
As one of our journeyman plumbers, you will work directly with our clients. So, you should be able to demonstrate professionalism while working in their homes and be willing to answer any questions that they may have for you. You will also be asked to observe all pertinent health and safety requirements while you work and ensure all installations are completed to code.

We require Journeymen who are willing to work within Manitoba, Winnipeg / Beausejour, and Journeymen who are willing to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise, Lead, and mentor apprentice plumbers.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems.
- Sauder, thread, glue, all different materials of pipe.
- Use your specialized knowledge and training to repair and maintain plumbing and drainage systems.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Complete maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to use a wide variety of plumbing tools and techniques.
- Perform duties while always complying to company and client safety requirements
- Acquire any necessary supplies.
- Willingness to respond to emergency plumbing situations at odd hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of shop facilities and equipment.
- Perform other related work as required and assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience as a Foreman
- 5+ years experience in a supervisor role
- Appropriate Canadian credentials and certifications for Journeyman Plumber.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proven abilities, and strong working knowledge of plumbing techniques.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Work conditions:
Travel to off-site locations for 21 days on 7 days off, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours.
