Job Summary

The Administrator, Integration position is accountable for the planning, development and maintenance support of simple and complex business application and database integrations as well as assisting business teams in delivering integrated business and information solutions using a diverse product suite. This position supports all divisions of Sherritt and Corefco in Fort Saskatchewan, including Moa Nickel in Moa, Cuba, Toronto, and Calgary.


Develop expert-level experience with WSDL/SOAP/REST web services and open API/ETL development to meet business needs.
Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts to fully understand, document and design application data interfaces.
Continuously ensure the operational effectiveness of software, and solutions are delivered on time, within budget requirements.
Maintain software integrity and assist with operations to ensure Sherritt IT security policies are to the highest level.
Process and resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner and ensuring good communication with colleagues and customers regarding timeframes and progress.
Ensure documentation on processes, procedures and implemented states are created and kept up to date.
Enhance Sherritt IT's interface standards and effect best practices.
Engage in opportunities to reduce impediments of current processes through automation.
Qualifications and Skills

A university degree or equivalent experience and training in information technology or a directly related discipline is required.
7 + years of experience of designing, developing and maintenance of integrations between divergent applications.
Significant Proficient in WSDL/SOAP/REST and ESB delivery and ETL transformation practices.
Proficiency in PL/SQL, and Transact-SQL; additional proficiencies with open- source (MariaDB/MySQL) will be an asset.
Working knowledge in operational use of Windows Server, Linux and Redhat operating systems.
Understanding of operations architecture (Virtualization, hyper-convergence, networking, cloud computing).
Ability to prioritize and multi-task to ensure tasks are completed within given timelines.
Working knowledge of large scale applications, specifically in Enterprise resource planning, asset management and integration systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and part of a team.
Working knowledge of software classes within mining and refining industry is considered an asset.
