Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair & maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Technician will work closely with team members to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Experience with welding, and schematics is an asset. Our air conditioned shop is located in beautiful Parry Sound.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments using schematics and diagnostic equipment to identify issues with vehicles
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large parts or equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle or piece of equipment
Experience
- Relevant automotive repair experience is essential
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive systems and maintenance procedures
- Hands-on experience with welding, schematics reading and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
