We are seeking a Team Lead for the Community Crew to join our team on a temporary part time basis for 2019, scaling up to full time hours in the summer months.

Position Overview

The Team Lead, Community Crew supports and promotes the regional brands through a commitment to community investment. Reporting to the Marketing/Communications Business Partner (Island Savings), this role participates in a variety of community events in the regional trade areas, acting as a brand ambassador, providing information and participating in activities to engage people of all ages. This role supports and oversees the community crew team, providing leadership, inspiration and exceptional service while living out FW values and vision

Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day:
Key Accountabilities:
Team Leadership: Leads a team of up to 6 community crew members or volunteers; manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the team, including scheduling, approving time sheets, travel, and event execution; and provides applicable training to community crew team members.
Regional Community Events: Liaises with event organizers to ensure the community crew is prepared and has the materials needed; and leads the team at onsite community investment activations, organizing set up and tear down and ensuring brand consistency.
Non-Profit Internship Program: In conjunction with the Marketing Business Partner, creates an engaging community internship experience for community crew team members; and liaises with non-profit internship organizations and provides support for community internship program, including site visits and feedback.
Communications: Responsible for maintaining on-line community events calendar; manages proactive communication with regional staff about upcoming events & volunteer opportunities; and works with the Communications team in facilitating internal and external communications, including social media posts.
Ongoing Program Evaluation and Reporting: Solicits ongoing feedback on events and internship programs; in conjunction with the Marketing Business Partner, ensures programs stay on budget; and is responsible for seasonal debrief on program including event successes and challenges, identifying opportunities for program improvement.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Enthusiastic and positive demeanor
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient computer skills including MS office and applications
Experience with social media
A class 5 BC Driver's License
A High School Diploma
Ability to work proactively and independently, demonstrating the ability to plan and organize
Sound judgment, discretion and interpersonal skills; demonstrating ability to lead by example and create a positive environment
