Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food service. This role involves providing guests with an exceptional dining experience through attentive service, efficient order handling, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros POS, restaurant experience, and food industry knowledge are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like touch bistro
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest services
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as touch bistro POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Experience with food handling, serving, and food safety protocols necessary for the role
- Kitchen or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
