A/P and A/R Representative

We are seeking candidates for the role of Accounts Payable/Receivable Representative for a 14-month assignment based at our Head Office located in North York. Reporting to the Controller the Accounts Payable/Receivable Representative is to provide daily support while ensuring accurate input of financial data and efficient operation of the processing for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities.

On a day-to-day basis, the key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable/Receivable Representative include but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable responsibilities:
  • Assist the A/P group with full cycle payables for all registered properties;
  • Monitor and process payments using Online Banking;
  • Input and process payables for projects transitioning from development to turnover;
  • Respond to A/P enquiries from site and trades whenever required;
  • Accounts Receivable responsibilities:
  • Monthly upload of recurring billings, cash receipts and pre-authorized payments;
  • Input of set-ups, changes and deactivations for leases, including Address Book record creation and PAP set-up;
  • Processing of special withdrawals;
  • Logging and input of NSF charges;
  • Creation of chargeback invoices and manual billings;
  • Scanning and filing of efiles;
  • Deposit cheques remotely or at the bank as required;
  • Review owner’s ledger and handle A/R enquiry from site whenever required.

To succeed, candidates must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the Accounting field, particularly with Accounts Receivable and Payable;
  • Experience in the residential property management is highly desirable;
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Hands-on experience using JDE Enterprise One would be an asset;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team; and
  • Basic Excel skills required.
