About Stilewood:
Stilewood is a build-to-order manufacturing company based out of Port Coquitlam, B.C., specializing in the manufacturing of custom-made interior and exterior pre-hung door systems for high-end custom homes. As the products produced by Stilewood are all specific to individual client designs, our team is responsible for verifying system conformity to actual job conditions – resulting in properly installed, functioning systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Modify shop drawings in AutoCAD and revise as conditions change.
Coordinate submittal of shop drawings and samples.
Modify and import AutoCAD files into Mastercam and generate CAD/CAM program files used for our SCM processing center.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in AutoCAD with proven technical drafting skills. 3D software experience is an asset, but not required.
Proficient in reading architectural construction drawings.
Experience in working with 3-axic CNC processing centers.
Loading and unloading of workpieces.
Executing and modifying of existing program files.
Installing and maintaining new tools.
Managing the tool database.
Modifying Xilog Plus (WOP) programs manually inputting/changing codes.
Performing basic machine maintenance.
Able to communicate fluently and professionally in English.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Educational Background in one or more of the following areas:
Mastercam training.
AutoCAD training.
Degree in Wood Processing.
Other foreign engineering diplomas (Master in Wood Processing – European) relevant to window and door systems.
Diploma of Technology in Architectural and Building Engineering or Construction Management.
Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology.
Joiner ticket or equivalent.
Degree in Architectural and Building Technology.
Work Experience which would be an asset for this position:
Work experience in programming and operating of 3 – axis wood processing centers.
Programming experience using AutoCAD and Mastercam.
Work experience in the woodworking field (joinery, millwork, cabinetmaking, doors and windows, and finish carpentry).
Work experience in construction.
Compensation/Benefits:
The pay rate is dependent on experience. $25.00-$32.00 per hour.
