ERIS Information is the second largest provider of environmental database and historical research reports in the USA. We are growing quickly and have part time entry-level positions available in our South Austin based Historical Research Division for a motivated individual with good organisational skills and a solid work ethic.
This is an entry-level part-time position that will be conducting Aerial Photo Research. HRA’s conduct for properties in the United States and Canada. Research is performed using the internal collections and resources that are available at research facilities throughout the country and online. This is an opportunity to collaborate with a talented team while impacting not just the historical products, but sales and revenue.
Part-time Position – Flexible hours working from home. Some weekend hours may be requested.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Research and Produce Aerial Reports and maintain quality, accuracy and efficient standards.
Generate custom reports utilising search parameters (criteria) established by client.
Work with Historical Products Team to ensure reports have both robust and accurate content.
Establish routine communications with management to provide real-time updates on workflow.
Proactively manage a docket of client orders to maintain consistent productivity and balance of turn-around time (TAT).
Identify and communicate potential search parameter challenges to ensure end-user satisfaction.
Maintain accurate notes and documents to improve research process.
Time management through proper and consistent steps to generate reports.
Work independently with minimal supervision by management.
We work in a fast-paced team environment with each part of the team relying on the other so attention to detail is a must.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University (in Library Sciences, Geographer, Genealogist, Historian, or Journalism).
Experience and knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office (Word, Excel). Proficient in technology like Bluetooth, WiFi, and other communication protocols.
Computer skills are a must and GIS, Aerial or Project Management is a bonus
Prior work experience in a research setting.
Ability to read maps
Strong ability to multitask.
Strong time management skills.
Experience with database management software, administration, or design is an asset.
