We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, CFIA regulations, and health & safety policies
- Perform quality testing (moisture, pH, oxygen, microbiological sampling)
- Inspect equipment pre‑ and post‑operation to ensure sanitation standards
- Calibrate lab and production equipment
- Identify, reject, and document non‑conforming products
- Communicate quality issues and deviations to production and management
- Prepare samples and paperwork for third‑party lab testing
- Maintain lab supply inventory
- Assist with SOPs and quality programs
- Work independently and prioritize tasks during the day or afternoon shifts
Requirements
- Post‑secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of HACCP and CFIA standards
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Comfortable working independently
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Effective communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team members
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
