Graphic Designer Position Summary:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designer is accountable for the following core responsibilities: facilitate and develop the design requirements of a
project, all in accordance with Company policies and procedures and in order to achieve Marketing goals of the Landmark Group of Builders.

The Graphic Designer is responsible and accountable to the Marketing Managers from whom they receive their authority and overall direction.

Facilitate and develop the design requirements of a project:
Produce marketing and promotional materials that help communicate brands to the public. Materials range from handouts, postcards and
brochures to lot signage, interior displays and various forms of advertising.

Work closely with internal departments as well as external sources to obtain the information needed to create the requested marketing materials.

Meet with various internal clients to discuss business objectives and requirements of a project including brochures, handouts, advertising, interior and exterior signage. Interpret the client's business needs and
develop a concept to suit their purpose.

Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. Estimate the time required to complete the work and provide quotes to client.

Obtain and work with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD) to create finalized artwork.

Work as part of a team with printers, photographers, other designers, web developers, and marketing specialists to have final product produced.

Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work. Copy-write where necessary.

Present finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers for approval.

Produce various internal communications including signage, invitations and company newsletter.

Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Quark Xpress, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Director, and Flash

Help ensure the correct brand image is maintained.

Co-ordinate and monitor on-going show home promotions

Work closely with the Website Company to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Work with the Marketing Team lead to ensure that all advertising and promotional pieces are complete and accurate.

Work closely with external marketing company in all aspects of the role.

Perform Other Additional Duties as Required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of direct work experience in a
marketing capacity.
  • Artistic sensibility including knowledge of
design elements.
  • Creativity is essential.
  • Strong visual communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of and working
knowledge of brand building and brand management.
  • An eye for aesthetics in presentation
materials.
  • Highly effective project management,
prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization and problem solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and
conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate and
develop/maintain relationships.
  • Bring
creativity and ‘out of the box’ thinking to the position.
  • Able
to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate
departments, key managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility
to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
